Written by Jonathan Garcia and Danielle Starz GarciaĀ

Happy last day of the month! September is one of our favorite months of the year - the weather starts to change, the pumpkin spice lattes and sweaters are back and we enter a whole new season for creation. Here is a list of some of our favorite things from this month that maybe you’ll be inspired to check out:Ā

  1. Ed Sheeran’s Play Album

ree

If you didn’t already know, we’re huge Ed Heads here lol so this was a highly anticipated album release in our house. We loved this album! It was a refreshing taste of his songwriting with new exploration and genre bending. With tracks like ā€œSaphireā€, ā€œAzizamā€ and ā€œSymmetryā€ alongside heart melting ballads like ā€œCameraā€, ā€œThe Vowā€ and ā€œFor Alwaysā€.Ā  A special shoutout to ā€œThe Openingā€, Jon says this track reminds him of when he first discovered Ed Sheeran from his acoustic raps in 2014/2015. Dani especially loves tracks like ā€œA Little Moreā€ and ā€œProblemsā€ with their fun melodies and world play. Ed is truly one of our favorite artists and we did snag a signed vinyl of this new album! Definitely a favorite purchase from this month.Ā

  1. Caught Stealing in Dolby Atmos

ree

If you have not read our Dolby Atmos review, go check that out! It’ll give you insight into why we absolutely loved this film! This movie absolutely takes the crown for our favorite movie of the month. The story, the acting, THE ATMOS - this was a work of art and if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet - we highly recommend you do.Ā

  1. The Lorde Ultrasound Tour Concert

ree

For not knowing any of her music besides the song ā€œRoyalsā€ (Even what she looked like) her performance was A+. There were no backing tracks, she sang every word, her visuals were so good. Captivating every single moment and connecting with each fan in the audience from the ones in the pit all the way to the nose bleeds. Every fan felt so close to her. If you want to hear Dani’s full recap - it is up on the blog. This was definitely our favorite show this month.Ā

  1. The Wavy Seals Elite

ree

Earlier this month Jonathan got to spend some time doing a deep dive on his Dolby Atmos mixing process, philosophies and industry upbringing. The WSE is an amazing community of engineers and producers led by the legend Wavy Wayne. He is the leader of MixNik, The Wavy Seals Elite and a boat load of knowledge. - Tap in with him and them!

  1. Beyond Stereo PodcastĀ

Jon had the opportunity to chat Dolby Atmos and immersive audio with his new friend Daniel Bucknell, the owner and producer of ā€œBeyond Stereo Podcastā€. This was a great conversation we’re excited to share!! Stay tuned and look out for this upcoming podcast on the blog and on instagram!

  1. Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend AlbumĀ

ree

Dani is a huge Sabrina fan and this was one of her most listened to albums this month. Sabrina returned with another incredible pop album full of amazing catchy hits like ā€œHouse Tourā€, ā€œNobody’s Sonā€ and ā€œTearsā€! This was a no-skip album and if you’re a lover of pop music, check this one out!Ā

  1. B.G.’s Freedom of Speech DeluxeĀ

ree

First up on Apple Music’s HipHop in Spatial Audio! Jon had the pleasure of mixing and mastering the Dolby Atmos for ā€œFreedom of Speech Deluxeā€ by the legendary B.G. With guest verses from Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, E-40, Birdman and more. This album has no skips from start to finish.
